Shri Swami Sivananda Maharaj

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !

Shri Swami Shivananda Guru

Shri Swami Sivananda - another mystic par excellence. a medical doctor by profession but the pull by the nature to renounce the world and serve the unknown was so over powering that, he renounced the world at the young age of 36 years, after excelling in medicine in India and Malaysia, but as nature wanted something else from this spirit, he returned to his final destination, Rishikesh in India.

( Sep 8,1887--Jul 14,1963)

The data generated by this saint in the fields of yoga and vedanta all written by himself are worth reading and worth practising for a better life and for a better understanding of our mind body and soul.
All this was possible only when he renounced this world and entered sanyasa ashram (Monk Order) and got initiated rest is history, it needs shear devotion, determination and sacrifice to achieve this level of universal understanding, above all a heart so thirsty for knowledge that it is very difficult to quench it with nothing less than the ultimate knowledge of the ultimate.
Swami Sivananda Saraswati : God has given us a great gift in the form of this human body. The only purpose of this human birth, which is very difficult to get, is to realize God and hence terminate this incessant cycle of birth and death.
Many Yoga centres and ashrams were started by his disciple Shri Swami Vishnu-Devananda in the west, and the first centre was started in Montreal, Canada in 1959.
Out of all his teaching the small quote is very educative and catchy.
" Serve- Love- Give-Purify-Meditate-Realize" .
A very long list of very educative articles can be downloaded free and can also be saved for you personal reference is available at:
In this list "Practical lessions in Yoga " is very informative and well explained for begginners.
Shri Swami Sivanada passed away on 14 July 1963 in his Kutir on the bank of Ganges, In Sivanandanagar.

Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !

Shri Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa

Shri Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa, a mystic, (Gadadhar Chattopadhyay) was born to poor Khudiram and Chandramani in the village of Kamarpukur, West Bengal province of Bharat(India). Gadadhar disliked school, and did not show interest in earning money. Instead he devoted most of his time with nature, he liked visiting monks, He respected people from lower caste.

Rani Rashmoni founded a temple at dakshineswar, Gadadhar was to decorate the deity Bhavatarini, he began to question if he was worshipping a piece of stone or a living goddess. If he was worshipping a living Goddess, why should she not respond to his worship? This question nagged him day and night. Then, he began to pray Kali "Mother, please reveal yourself to me, Am I not also your son?" he would weep and some times cryout loudly while worshipping, At night, he would go into a nearby jungle and spend the whole night praying.

One day he grew so impatient to see Mother Kali that he seized a sword hanging on the wall and was about to strike himself with it, when the light from the deity spread across the temple, the very sight of this devine illumination made him unconscious, it is a general talk that, when such a light comes out particularly from Kali, one should start looking at it from the feet to the head to avoid the ferocious appearance of goddess Kali, many monks have lost their minds and gone crazy when gazed directly at the illumination.

by doing so the appearance of the goddess takes the form of very pleasing goddess durga,

Ramakrishna was initiated in advaita vedanta by a wandering monk named Totapuri, in the city of dakshineswar, Ramakrishna started to remain in the state of Samadhi for six months at a stretch.
Rumors spread that Ramakrishna had gone mad, marriage was proposed, instead of objecting to the marriage, he mentioned Jayrambati, three miles away from Kamarpukur, the five-year-old bride, Sarada, was found and the marriage was duly solemnised. she remained with her parents till she turned 18, then she joined Ramakrishna, but by then Ramakrishna was way deep in renunciation, so Sarada become his first disciple, he began to treat her as the Universal mother and would perform puja, Sarada as Tripura Sundari Devi. He said, 'I look upon you as my own mother and the Mother who is in the temple'. Ramakrishna impressed upon Sarada Devi that she was not only the mother of his young disciples, but also of all humanity. Initially, Sarada Devi was initially shy about playing this role, but slowly, she filled it with courage.

Sarada Devi

Her renunciation is believed by devotees to be a striking quality that she shared with her husband in a measure equal to, if not beyond, his. The true nature of their relationship and kinship was believed to be beyond the grasp of ordinary minds. Ramakrishna concluded, after close and constant association with her, that her relationship and attitude toward him were firmly based on a divine spiritual plane. Devotees believe that as they shared their daily lives, no other thought other than that of the divine presence, arose in their minds. An account of such continuous divine relationship between two souls of opposite gender is unique in religious records, not known in any of the past hagiographies. After the passing away of Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi became a religious teacher in her own right and she is called as holy mother.
He soon came to be known as Ramakrishna Paramahansa, seekers of God were attracted to him, he taught the basic truths of religion for about fifteen years and eventually developed throat cancer and attained Mahasamadhi on 16 August, 1886.
Ramakrishna's taught oneness of existence, the divinity of living beings, the unity of god, and harmony of religions, he beleived that the primal bondage of human beings were lust and greed, he emphasized that God-realization is the supreme goal of all living beings, religion was merely a mean for the achievement of this goal. Devotees believe that Ramakrishna's realization of nirvikalpa samadhi also led him to an understanding of the two sides of maya (illusion), to which he referred as Avidyamaya and Vidyamaya. He explained that avidyamaya represents dark forces (e.g. sensual desire, evil passions, greed, lust and cruelity), which keep the world-system on lower planes of conciousness. These forces are responsible for human entrapment in the cycle of births and death, and they must be fought and vanquished. Vidyamaya, on the other hand, represents higher forces (e.g. spiritual virtues, enlightening qualities, kindness, purity, love and devotion), which elevate human beings to the higher planes of consciousness. With the help of vidyamaya, he said that devotees could rid themselves of avidyamaya and achieve the ultimate goal of becoming Mayatita - that is, free from maya.

The famous Swami Vivekanada ( 1863-1902) was his first desciple and he started the

Swami Vivekanada
Ramakrishna matth and Mission institute of culture in Calcutta in 1897, Swami Vivekananda become famous after his speech at Parliament of Religions held in Chicago in 1893, after a very hectic but short public life of mere 10 years, swami vivekananda also suffered from throat cancer and in the midst of acute physical suffering he left for posterity his four classics: Jnana-Yoga, Bhakti-Yoga, Karma-Yoga, and Raja-Yoga, all of which are outstanding treatises on Sanatana( Hindu) philosophy. He passed away at the young age of 39 years.

Under his leadership many national and international vedanta Societies were started, one in Toronto was started in 1968, Vedanta Society of Toronto, 120 Emmett AvenueToronto, Ontario M6M 2E6Phone: 1-416-240-7262 Fax: 1-416-245-3764E-mail:,

Quotes - Mahatma Gandhi

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !

Mahatma's few famous quotes

(Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi)
All the religions of the world, while they may differ in other respects, unitedly proclaim that nothing lives in this world but Truth.Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.
Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.

Breach of promise is a base surrender of truth.

Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
Everyone who wills can hear the inner voice.

Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
God is, even though the whole world deny him. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self-sustained.

It is within everyone. An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.
I would heartily welcome the union of East and West provided it is not based on brute force. In a gentle way, you can shake the world. In matters of conscience, the law of the majority has no place. In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart
It has always been a mystery to me how men can feel themselves honoured by the humiliation of their fellow beings. It is any day better to stand erect with a broken and bandaged head then to crawl on one's belly, in order to be able to save one's head.Love never claims, it ever gives. Love ever suffers, never resents never revenges itself.Man can never be a woman's equal in the spirit of selfless service with which nature has endowed her.
My religion is based on truth and non-violence. Truth is my God. Non-violence is the means of realising Him.
Non-violence requires a double faith, faith in God and also faith in man.
Peace is its own reward.
Poverty is the worst form of violence.

Prayer is a confession of one's own unworthiness and weakness.
Prayer is not an old woman's idle amusement. Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action.
Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the evening.
The good man is the friend of all living things. The real ornament of woman is her character, her purity. The spirit of democracy is not a mechanical thing to be adjusted by abolition of forms. It requires change of heart.
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

Those who know how to think need no teachers.

Truth is by nature self-evident. As soon as you remove the cobwebs of ignorance that surround it, it shines clear.
Truth never damages a cause that is just.Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self-sustained.
We must become the change we want to see in the world.
Where love is, there God is also.Where there is love there is life. You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind.
You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

Line Of Heart: Part -I

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !

Line of Heart as the name suggests concerns heart activity, and it is the third most important line after the fate line and the line of intelligence, this line starts on the percussion side of the palm below the little finger, it travels from right to left in a left hand and from left to right a right hand dividing the palm roughly into 1/3 on the top and 2/3 below it, three very basic types of lines are, one ending very bluntly between the Saturn finger and the index finger (most common), second is curved up to the mount of Jupiter i.e. below the Index finger, and the third type is curved up to Saturn mount i.e. below the middle finger, it might not reach up to the mount, but again we have to see the position of mount if it is placed right below the middle finger.

It is a well known fact that the heart has to do with feelings, relations, courage, fear, intuition, emotions, every time we receive a bad or good news, it is this heart that takes the extra load, it is this heart that fails when a native fails in his/her endeavours, it is this heart which cries when love fails, it is this heart that floats in ecstasy when something good happens, it is this place where the soul resides, it is this heart which skips a beat when startled, it is this heart that makes a man tough and week, it is this heart that makes a women sensitive, loving and senseless, barren, it is this heart that forces us to take all decisions based on our emotions, it is this heart that keeps us going when even the brain goes blank, it is this heart, where we feel the pain, when we loose something so dear to us, it is this heart which when activated by kundalini energy through the Anahatha Chakra, the fourth chakra in the astral body, beautiful cosmic music can be heard by the native, it is like someone had just opened a music shop in the heart, cosmic tunes flow through this astral point of our physical existence, it is this heart, where the four chambers are closed by a priest before commencing his prayer, so that no evil enters it and only divine energies pass or reside in it.

Sri Chinmoy's

A sacred heart
Is God's inspiration.
A secret heart
Is man's imagination.
A crying heart
Is man s illumination.
A self-giving heart
Is God s realization.
A surrendered human heart
Reaches God's transcendental Heights
A perfect and manifested heart
Is the pride of God's Reality-dream.
A surrendered divine heart
Is the smile of the Absolute Supreme.

Fig P4A 1 to 6 shows various types of lines of Heart, no1 shows a thin line with pale color, mostly found in weak or soft feminine hands, no 2 shows pink and thin line, found mostly in normal people, no 3 shows dark colored but normal depth, found in careful but active individuals, no 4 shows pale colored but thick line, found in weak but stressed individuals, no 5 shows a normal person but stressed, no 6 shows dark colored and thick line, mostly seen in very rough hands with thick palm skin, very active, aggressive individuals, also sometime over strained, stress is because of biting more than they can chew, or taking too much load, so the native is stressed and strained mostly physical.

A good line of Heart is as shown in Fig P4B1, with finely curved and well placed between the base of fingers and the line of Intelligence, proper colour, depth and length, which would mean that the native is blessed with a very well balanced physical, mental, emotional and practical side, so definitely he/she will have very good physique and nature, provided the line is not punctuated with marks, crosses and breaks.

Extreme cases of this line are, first, in case of Simian (Fig P4B5) natives where there is no distinct heart line and line of intelligence, and the second one is a pink coloured, clear, fine line without any ridges, finely curved till the base of the index finger ( Fig P4B3), the native is endowed with a very good heart and physical ability, I would say a heart full of energy to live a good and healthy life, well governed by the Jupiter, that means very balanced and well choreographed life, a well placed line below the four mounts, Mercury, Apollo, Saturn and Jupiter suggests a very balanced heart, the gap between the base of the fingers and the line of heart, and the gap between the line of heart and line of intelligence should be equal, this also suggests a very balanced individual.

If the gap below the line of heart is smaller than the gap above it, then the individual suffers from confusion between the heart and brain matters, in a way stuck between two extremes practical and emotional sides of his character, but the positive side of this aspect is, the sex life of this native is bound to be very fulfilling and complete, if the gap above the line of heart is smaller than the gap below it than the native suffers from lack of emotional side and the life is more practical and even the sex life also becomes a matter of biological need. if the line is too straight and stops abruptly below the mount of Saturn or sometimes below the mount of Mercury or mount of Apollo, then the native is more interested in worldly affairs like, accumulating wealth, fame, material benefits, and will have less inclination towards sensual attractions, if the line is too much curved than the native is obsessed with the sensual attractions and will strive hard to fulfill those, a normal curve reaching the point between the Index finger and the middle finger, such a native will be balanced in both the material and sensual attractions, but if such a line reaches the mount of Saturn, than the native will be very disciplined in his dealing with opposite Sex and also will maintain a good material living, will be inclined towards accumulation and will strive hard to attain or retain the status, If the line ends up in the mount area of Jupiter i.e. below the Index finger the native will be very clear and clean in his dealings with the opposite Sex and will have inclination towards learning and preaching or teaching the good texts even in the heart matters, a sex therapist.

Fig P4C shows various types of lines of heart with afflictions in other wise a very normal and good line of heart, no1 has a break in the line below the possible position of mount of Saturn, meaning that the native at that time point lacked the discipline, energy for material accumulations, instead the Saturn made him to look at the romantic side of life, all practicalities vanished and the life would be more like a dream, floating through unreality's, but once the native is grounded back to the grave realities of the life, the touch down would not be very smooth, the same gap if it is below the Jupiter, then the ethics, and principles might take a nose dive, below Apollo mount, fame and popularity will vanish, and below Mercury mount the business, public affairs, and communications with everyone, especially with the opposite sex might take a fall. Similar results or phala can be derived from the lines if they stop below the different mounts or fingers as shown in figures, P4C1,2,3 and 4.

Fig P4C5 shows the longing for parental love from almost every individual he/she meets in the public life, and this native will deal with others in similar manner, he would like to be a parent of everyone around him/her, and this depends on the age of the native, no 6 shows too many jerks in the natives emotional life causing too much emotional stress, but the line kept regaining its form after every jolt, lot of energy was pulled in to sustain the external jolts, a reverse of this situation is loss of energy to sustain the jolts, in this case the native would suffer from severe and frequent energy loss, and would need frequent energy supplements to continue.

Fig P4D shows various normal lines of Heart punctuated with various signs and marks, some are favourable and some are not, a dot or a black spot is a very bad sign in a line of Heart, it suggest possible block in the pumping station, a circle shows internal flooding, small lines leaving the line of Heart, loss of energy, small lines joining the line of Heart, gaining energy, and a cross, contradicting energies joining and then leaving the native high and dry, in that area of life, again determined by the mount under which the cross or the sign appears, few ( 3 to 4 parallel lines above the line of Heart and below the base of fingers are a good sign in that area of life, it shows multiple avenues available to reap the benefits.

A whorl below the Apollo finger (Fig P4D6) is a sign of excellent Intuitive mental capacities, a whorl in the Jupiter mount or below the Index finger is a sign for opportunities in the area of love and romance, possibly leading to love marriages, a bifurcated line of Heart below the Jupiter mount also suggests similar ending.

Basically the heart is a parameter to measure the depth of emotions and emotional and physical strengths in an individual, join the two hands together and see if the two lines of Heart make a nice curve, this would suggest that the Heart is in place. No curve and too much curve are again two extremities, a straight line would suggest the Heart needs tuning.

Conclusions about one's life direction should be made by studying the fate line, Line of Intelligence and Heart, but over all life pattern can only be deduced after studying all the main, minor lines and other signs of the palm.

More to follow the way all the palm prints were drawn on my younger daughter Nicki Ianala's hand, she loved it.

Line of Intelligence: Part I

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !

Line of Intelligence is popular as "Head line", as the name suggests it concerns head activity, I prefer "line of intelligence" as it has do with the brain/intelligence of the native, and the head line is the second most important line after the fate line, this line starts between the index finger and the thumb, mostly it emerges with the life line, and it travels from right to left in the right hand and from left to right in the left hand dividing the palm into two half's, three very basic types of lines are one straight (less common), second is straight up to middle of the palm and then curves upwards towards the percussion side of the palm, and the third type is straight till middle of the palm and then curves downward towards the lunar mount (most common but the length of the line varies).

Extreme cases of this line are, first, a very short line emerging below the index finger, independent from the life line and stops below the Saturn finger, this native had very difficult childhood without any parental support, then he suffered from frequent head aches and has a tendency to take things in a rash manner, I would say it is very primitive brain, lacking sensitivity, which could not develop and had gone through multiple trauma during early childhood, and ultimately the adulthood also suffers, interestingly the fate line also suffers due this shortcoming.

Second is a very fine, lengthy head line ending in the percussion side of the palm, mostly curved downwards and reaching up to the base of the palm in the lunar mount, this is high side of intelligence, everything is refined to the highest level, highly creative, highly imaginative but sometimes with a tendency to suffer from illusions, but again is gifted to reach the unknown or untouched spheres of life, highly sensitive, highly evolved brain sometimes not suitable for routine life, or normal life, such natives are lost in their own worlds and have the ability to create/invent and indulge in thoughts, which a normal or logical brain cannot, I would say a very gifted intelligentsia but the native needs to guard his feelings and encapsulate himself in a artificial thick skin to safe guard his/her interests

Fig P3A 1 to 6 shows various types of lines of intelligence, no 1 shows a thin line with pale color, mostly found in weak or soft feminine hands, no 2 shows pink and thin line, found mostly in normal people, no 3 shows dark colored but normal depth, found in careful but active individuals, no 4 shows pale colored but thick line, found in weak but stressed individuals, no 5 shows a normal person but stressed, no 6 shows dark colored and thick line, mostly seen in very rough hands with thick palm skin, very active, aggressive individuals, also sometime over strained, stress is because of biting more than they can chew, or taking too much load, so the native is stressed and strained, mostly these individuals are very emotional, the best line one can have in active individuals is line of intelligence close to appearance as shown in Fig P3A5 and Fig P3A2 in case of inactive males and most of the females resp.

A good line of intelligence is as shown in Fig P3B1, with straight direction, proper colour, depth and length =, which would mean that the native is blessed with a very well balanced intelligence in terms of the emotional and logical senses, so definitely he/she will have good education, good grasping power, memory, analytical ability, good creativity and logical sense, and above all very well placed common sense, provided the line is not punctuated with marks, crosses and breaks.

A line of intelligence (Fig P3B2) starting with the life line and then travels straight up to the point below the ring finger and then takes the upward direction towards the percussion side of the palm, it suggests that the native is endowed with a very balanced mind but he/she depends more on his/her logical prowess than their emotional senses, in a similar situation if the line travels towards the Lunar mount, Fig P3B3, it would suggest that the native though endowed with a very superior intelligence depends more on his/her emotional senses than the logical prowess, and the penetration of the line of intelligence in to the lunar mount would enhance the dependence on the emotional senses, this native is bound to be very creative, and will have a exemplary imagination, but some times it might cause him/her worry, for being too imaginative and the native is influenced by the moon as the mind is controlled by the moon, so the natives mind will behave like a lunar cycle or ocean tides.

Line of intelligence as shown in Fig P3B4 & P3B5 belong to individuals who are very versatile and very controlled, they can be very logical and at the same time very emotional or might incline towards romanticism, yet might live a very practical life, and these individuals are jack of all trades, masters of many languages, subjects, they fare equally well in mathematics and at the same time excel in philosophy, in a way they are versatile by all means (Author of this blog has head line similar to Fig P3B5). the last one no 6 is a very normal and healthy head line.

Fig P3C1 -3 depicts different lengths of line of intelligence, in such cases one should also look for the length of fate line, heart line and life line to determine the longevity and health of the native, a normal hand by all means with a very short head line would only suggest that the development of the brain stopped or started very late or started very early but stopped, and the such lines of intelligence will definitely mar the educative and learning capacities of the native, no 4 is a simian line, where the heart line and head line merge into a single line traversing from left to right in a left hand, and right to left in right hand, individuals with such a line lead a very normal life and do not suffer from dilemma' while taking emotional or logical decisions.

No 5 is a line of intelligence running very close to the life line and then stopped, suggesting that the native needed long parental care and the development of brain is totally dependent on the parental behaviour or environment created by the parents. No 6 shows various points of emergence of head line, the middle one is the normal one.

Fig P3D shows the emotionally inclined line of intelligence and the initiation of curve below the little, ring or Saturn finger, which means that the individual will exercise his creativity and imaginative talents in suggested fields of his/her life, little finger is for relations, business, communications, ring finger is for fame, authority, government deals, and Saturn finger is for materialistic life. No 4 shows a versatile line of intelligence with cause for such a development, and no 5 again shows versatile line of intelligence but creativity and imagination limited to the artistic fields, and No 6 shows change in learning directions from science to arts, arts to science, maths to philosophy, etc.

Fig P3E1 to 6 show various types of lines of intelligence merging and separating from the life line, no 1 is a normal and most common pattern, which clearly suggests that the native got his parental care and then as he/she grew the development of brain become independent, no 2 shows little longer parental care or attached development, no 3 is in those kids who live with their parents but do not see them often, like they spend most of their initial years in the care of others, no 4 shows separate line of intelligence and life line, this is found in kids separated from parents after their births or is seen in the hands of orphans and abandoned kids, but only if all these kids never got any kind of human care, so the development of the brain is independent right from the birth, no 5 is similar but little closer, and no 6 shows a island or a circle, this is found in those hands where some kind of enigma or mystery is attached with the birth of the native, parental care is not a problem.

Fig P3F1 is a normal hand showing, line of intelligence crossed by fate line and life line, no 2 shows a gap, which means a gap in education or learning process due to a unforeseen event in the family, no 3 shows a circle or island, meaning a block but the native could steer clear by avoiding the problem, no 4 shows a cross in the initial point of the line of intelligence, meaning, there was a difference of opinion in taking the decision to bring the native to this world and if taken at a higher level, it means multiple life purpose, no 5 shows a cross, meaning versatility at the end of the development, no 6 shows change in learning interests and break in learning process at the same time but the interest got protected.

Fig P3G1 shows various possible marks or signs, a dot would mean complete block in the energy flow so it would definitely result in some kind of mental trauma to the native, if present in the fate line and life line at the same time pint, it should be considered seriously. a cross above the head line below the Saturn finger or the Ring finger is a mystic cross present in mystics with enhanced intuitive minds, no 2 and 3 are head line crossed by influence lines, no 4 a cross above the line of intelligence below the index finger or the Jupiter mount suggests possible love marriage, no 5 shows a whorl below the line of intelligence in the lower mars mount, which indicates that the native has a very controlled emotional temper and is able to keep his cool even in a very grave situation and also is able to keep a cap on the anger, and fathers blessing are also available, no 6 is a simian line. no 4 also shows few perpendicular` lines touching the line of intelligence from below in upper mars and lower mars area, these are influence of mother and father in day to day life of the native or in the development of the native.

Individuals with thick and dark lines should take precautions and practise meditation, yoga orPranayama to reduce the stress and strain, and try to relax in difficult situations, this will reduce the load on the brain and the energy pull will go much smoother, in case of thin and pale lines, the individuals should take up some physical activity or some mentally challenging tasks, it would help them develop further.

Conclusions about one's life direction should be made by studying the fate line and head line as far as materialistic life is concerned, but over all life pattern can only be deduced after studying all the main and minor lines of the palm.

Fate Line: Part I

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !

Fate Line in a way indicates the destiny or life path of the native, it is also known as line of destiny or Saturn line, a new born baby with a folded hand also has a fate line(check immediately after the birth, if allowed by the mother), As I have discussed earlier, the fate line is the most important line of all the lines in any hand, it is like the main artery connecting the whole body, Fig P2a to Fig P2g show various types of fate lines and signs or marks.

I have tried to show their colours, length and depth or thickness, the signs and marks shown in these drawings are not exhaustive. following are few types of Fate lines normally seen.

The first case that comes to my mind is two extremes, one with a perfect fate line as shown in Fig P2a1 and second a palm devoid of fate line, in both cases there is a positive and negative implication, in case of no fate line which is very rare, the native is actually free to create his/her own niche in this material world till that moment, he is totally free with out any strings attached or any preconceived fate waiting for him, this situation is actually dangerous as the life would be totally dependent on the natives free will.

If he lives in a secluded place it is some what manageable, but if he lives in a modern society, he is prone to suffer due to influence from various mongers, it will be almost impossible for him to initiate a direction to live his/her life. His/Her environment will take control of his/her life till he tunes his/her mind.

But why one is devoid of fate line?, I am sure this question pops up in any normal person, yes if the person is living his life and has a direction, there always will be a fate line, but if the native is living like a mere furniture, there might not be any fate line, but the fate line will take the form of some influence line depending on the influence it could be from family or non familial, in way it means the native is moved around like a piece of furniture.

In case of perfect fate line, the native has a single minded direction and purpose in life, it is set by the environment he/she was born in to, the karmic influence from his/her previous lives, financially, emotionally, and materially the native will be very sound.

The negative trait of this type of fate is, after some time life could become boring and mundane, this type of people are supposed to plan for good hobbies or activities suitable for their future apart from their main vocation, particularly for their old age.

Fig P2a 1 to 6, show various origins and terminations of the fate line, Fate line 1 is from base of the palm and ending in the mount area of Saturn, this is the most perfect fate line one can have, provided it is free from any influence lines and marks cris-crossing it. fate line 2, 3, 4 &5 show the origin and ending of the fate line, other combinations can be derived based on the explanations for each type, 2 is from base, meaning independent outlook and development as a individual, right from the early years of life and life path formed based on that foundation, 3 is from the life line, meaning the life path based on the parental influence and already established familial background, most cases son joins father's business or follows fathers footsteps in ideology and practise. 4 is from Luna or moon mount, such a fate is devised by the divine influence, such people have a direct contact with the divine, some people call it as hot line to God, the fate is drawn based on the desire of the soul, it might change course due to influence in later years but initiation is for that purpose and it is more certain if it reaches the base of the index finger ( Jupiter mount) fig P2a2, such a person is more spiritually inclined, in fate line 1, it is right in the Saturn mount, meaning, success in all materialistic endeavours, in 3 it is towards Apollo or ring finger, meaning the materialistic approach will later shape in to cravings for fame, authority and popularity, fate line 6 shows multiple changes in a single life path, this is possible if the person had gone through a rough Saturn period (Sade sati= Saturn's 7, 1/2 years period), a very materialistic individual might become very spiritual, in a way it suggest loss of faith many times in a short period, such individuals normally become ascetics, or renounce the world, but it changes if it is supported by other minor fate lines.

Fig P2b shows various types of fate lines based on their depth, color and clarity, In many hands the lines are almost not visible but they are not absent, it is the texture of the palm skin that causes this, a very soft hand will have all kinds of cris crossing lines, which could look like a railway yard, and a very hard palm will have only few lines four to five and remaining part of the palm could look like barren landscape, there is nothing to worry about in both the cases, it is only your sensitivity that needs some check here, very light, very pale, very thin lines mean lack of vitality or lack of proper life force, so eat well, change your dietary habits, with increase in your blood or Rbc count (Red blood corpuscles) the lines will become more rosy, in case of clear, pink, well formed river like lines mean a emotionally and physically balanced individual , in case of thick, dark, brownish to reddish, huge deep lines, it means excess life force causing imbalance and causes too much stress, it is like biting more than you can chew, so such individuals should mellow down and start taking things lightly than they usually do.

Fig P2c shows various possible lengths of fate lines in normal hand, a very long fate line means the native had been living a very independent life or had taken a independent life direction right from the initial years till end of his/her journey, it shows clarity in thinking and mind set towards well set ideals and goals of the life, in case of a line starting after 20 -25 years, or ending around 30-40 years, it shows lack of direction in initial life and losing life path or sense of life direction in the later years respectively, it is like waking up late or sleeping early, both are not balanced. fate line 4 in this figure shows the native living like a furniture, it is a mere influence line, life being lived due to a relatives force, or sometimes it is the life started after the native got married in to the family, like marrying a cousin or uncle's daughter etc. fate line 5 in the figure shows the possible hospitalization and recovery due to a unforeseen event, other details should be seen from the possible influence line crossing it, etc, which should suggest initiation of such a happening by a close relative etc, in some cases it is like the native stops living a active life for a while and then regains faith and commences in right direction and the influence could be from any side, nature, family or non familial. Fate line 6 in this figure shows change of life path direction during middle years, this happens due to marriage, accident, love marriage, inheritance etc. but the renewed direction is towards materialism from spiritual foundation or from materialistic foundation to spiritual living.

Fig P2d shows fate lines with various signs or markings seen in many normal hands, the mark may not be as prominent as shown in these drawings, also the position of this markings can be anywhere depending on the time of happenings, which can be ascertained by using timescale (Fig P1).

A triangle is not a bad sign or mark, it suggests that during that point, the life force got excess and after formed a lake, then it starts again in a direction shown by the following fate line after the triangle, but during the point of time shown by triangle things may not workout like they were.
A break in a line could be from very serious to a short misadventure, a gap in a very well formed fate line is a serious one as it shows, the life of the person was in grave danger due to illness ( #) a financial mess(triangle or circle) derailed(empty gap) due influence of family characters or non familial contacts, broken marriage, failed love, failed business, govt conspiracy, conspiracy by close friends turned foes, this could be serious, a severe Sade sati( Saturn 7, 1/2 years, currently (Nov 2006) for all natives with moon in Cancer, Leo and Virgo the Sade sati is in progress( last 2,1/2 years for cancer, 5,1/2 years for Leo, initial 2,1/2 years for Virgo resp.) In some case the gap is formed to accommodate the future alliances like incorporating the future partnership, particularly in case of marriage and business.

Square is a good sign, it works like a reservoir of life force for the native in that point of life, it can prove to be very beneficial if used properly.

Other marks are crossing by a small line, a influence line from Venus mount, from Luna mount, all these suggest influence on the native life by that individual or that section of society resulting in change of direction or temporary halt or misadventure. if the line crossing merges with the fate line, it is a very good sign of perfect marriage, if is crosses and proceeds straight, it indicates loss or difference of opinions, this could be between two people for business or marriage.

A # line particularly if near the life line or joining life line, indicates surgery or chronic deceases like cancer etc, which might need surgery, in this case a triangle or a circle follows immediately after the "#", hash sign.
A dot indicates unforeseen event like accident, illness or hospitalization due to mishaps or happenings initiated by nature, family or non familial contacts, details should be seen with adjoining influence lines. It is very common that a dot is interpreted as a sign of death if found on fate line or other lines, yes one thing is sure that it does impede the life force but it does not stop it completely as it is believed, yes if a dot or other negative signs are seen on all major lines at the same time point, then it is a sure shot other wise it passes as a bump in the life but it does leave its imprints.

Fig P2e shows, various lengths of fate lines, independent attitude towards life is the basis of the origin and length of fate line and the life without a fate line suggests lack of that direction or attitude.

Fig P2f shows, change of direction from spiritual upbringing to materialistic living and vice verse, craving for fame, authority and popularity after living a very pious and spiritual life and vice verse, the lines may not be this prominent but will match very close to the pattern. the fine curves in the line suggests that the maneuvering of the change in direction was performed by the native with utmost care and maintaining balance in life, sharp edges suggest abrupt changes, due external influence more than natives will power.

Fig P2g shows, influence lines cris crossing or cutting the fate line , fate line 1 in this figure shows a influence line from close family contacts and it runs parallel to the main line and later fades, meaning a relative tried his or her best to join or influence the native in his or her endeavour but failed.
Fate line 2 is a similar happening but from a non familial contact, mostly a opposite sex.
Fate line 3 in this figure shows similar story with successful merger by two relatives benefiting the native and the relative.

Fate Line 4 in this figure shows similar story with successful merger by two non familial persons , benefiting all the parties.

Fate Line 5 shows a mystic cross on the fate line, it is great gift to have such a cross, it gives the native extreme intuitive powers, position of the cross is important with respect to the fate line.
in this case the cross is right on the fate line meaning that the intuitive property of the native Will help the native gain financially or materialistically, if the cross is on the left side of fate line, it only helps in gaining fame and popularity, if it is towards index finger, it will help the native in gaining spiritually, below the little finger always suggest aid in business dealings.

Fate line 6 in this figure shows influence lines cutting the fate line and reaching different mounts, we already know that if a line from Venus or Luna mounts cross fate line, it means loss, the area of loss can be read from the mount it reaches, if it reaches Jupiter mount, loss in education, loss in learned circles, loss in credibility in knowledge circles etc, if under Saturn, loss in finance, if under Apollo, loss in fame, authority, power and popularity, if under little finger, it means loss of business or contracts or relations.

In addition to all this one should see and identify the main fate line and equate it with the main vocation, and should be able to point out the current situation by using the time scale, once this is done, mapping the remaining part should not be very difficult, and conclusion should be drawn after studying all the lines, not just based on one line. Add information from each line to the matrix and then draw a consolidated conclusion.

To follow fate line- part II: How to identify and counter the influence on your life.

Mysticism - Part I

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !

Mystic :- A person who seeks by contemplation and self surrender to obtain unity with or absorption into the deity or the absolute, or who believes in the spiritual apprehension of truths that are beyond the intellect.

Mystique :- A fascinating aura of mystery , awe, and power surrounding someone or something.

Mysticism, Mystic or Mystique: it is a science of ultimate or the science of absolute awareness or the science to understand formation of everything from nothing, a mystic is a person seeking the ultimate truth or contemplating for union with the divine force, all this is mysterious to a layman, but a mystic has a direct experience or awareness of these spiritual energy within himself .

Birth, schooling, learning, earning, mating, reproducing, accumulating for future, enjoying, suffering, and finally to die is a normal course of life, the two ends, birth and death are the only mysterious points in this scale, remaining have been well explained by the physical, chemical or biological sciences, before birth and after death are two great mysteries, left over untouched by the general sciences, because they can not be quantified or proven empirically.

In a common man it is an unexplainable fear and intrigue, a taboo, why should some body know what is beyond these points, like some time back it was taboo to cross the oceans, but now it is a routine. I know one day people will be able to travel through past lives and will also be able to see future lives, and correct there karma readings, all this is not possible without divine help, the first and foremost step to attain this is to merge with the unknown force, many names have been given to this life force by many mystics in the past and present, but it still does not fill the void, because it is an out and out personal experience, it cannot be shared with a second individual in its totality unless he or she is also going through same experience.

The divine is, ultimate, absolute, unknown, infinite, tasteless, formless, shapeless, weightless, mass less, it is nothingness, it is everywhere, no space is free from it, it fills all the empty spaces, yet it is unquantifiable, it is everything but one can not quantify it, it is eternal, it is infinite in all directions, in all dimensions, in all forms, yet it is formless, it is so vast and unfathomable but one can find it in its entirety in oneself.

Lord Krishna could show his mother the entire creation in his mouth, so, as Deepak Chopra says it is like a hologram, a small piece of this hologram is complete in its own way, so the entire creation is present in smallest portion of the creation.

The human body is like an instrument which can actually create this holographic image internally, c
hakra's are like radio buttons in this beautiful instrument called human body, chakra's are like fine tuning centres in this instrument to actually create the entire creation internally, the thought is the fastest to travel it is many folds faster than the speed of light, and that thought which had traveled can become the nucleus for the hologram to recreate in its new location.

To move in this direction one has to unplug himself or herself from all the sensory images and illusions of the physical world, all senses needs to be subdued by shear devotion and not by suppression or resistance, there is no use suppressing the desire they will pop up again, desires need to be won over, they need to be emptied from the container called human mind.

Purify your body, let your body get only that is necessary, and positive, I know it is very difficult to do it living in a modern society, but if the goal is to merge with the absolute, do it. once the body is pure, purify your mind, your thought process, again lot depends on your food that you eat, eat only positive prana food, pumpkin, peanuts, coconut, Jaggery (no sugar), bitter gourd, and most of the gourds, beetroot, carrots, all leafy vegetables, salt, avoid negative prana food like, garlic, onions, eggplant, animal meat, nicotine products, narcotics, beverages, alcohol, sleeping pills, beetle leaves and nut, tobacco, etc, yes all the items which satisfy our senses needs to be curtailed for ever, once your mind is in your control, that means it allows only what you want to allow, nothing takes place without your approval, so the mind, body and soul are in complete union, tune your mind to attain consistent silence, with nothing in it, other than your personal bija mantra, or your deities bija mantra. let it resonate with the cosmic mind. enjoy it, nothing is more enjoyable than this.

One cannot control by leaving the world and living in an inaccessible place like forest etc. no, control your self when everything is around you, control is functional and more meaningful when the temptation is around, practise control on your craving for donuts, by sitting close to donuts shop, or eat so much that you might loose interest, but the first one is more spiritual, second one is for late comers and is time consuming, control your senses, once it knows the taste, it knows the temptation, it knows it is desirable, control it with freewill and not by forceful rejection, let the thought that is causing the mind to attract towards the temptation dissolve in the silence for ever, it is like controlling an unruly horse. one by one control all your horses, once done validate them by visiting the temptations, do not resist, do not suppress, let the thought vanish for ever, the temptation should mean nothing to you and your mind, once you reach this point you have won over your senses or Indriya.

Lord Krishna blows a flute, let your body be like a flute and let the divine force flow through you like it flows through a flute, the result is mystic's union with the mysterious, it is pure music.

You are ready for the voyage. more to follow...........
