My comments to British Airways were answered by an Indian Employee of British Airways,

Dear Mr Ianala

Thanks for letting us know about what happened on your flight to Hyderabad on 12 November. I completely understand why you were unhappy with your seat and our cabin crew couldn’t find you a better alternative.

We know how important it is for you to be comfortable and relaxed, especially on such a long flight. I realise it was disappointing that you couldn’t be comfortable as you found are seats small. I'm also concerned to learn that the staff on board wasn't helpful. Our staff are highly trained and we’re really proud of the service we offer. Our Managing Director of Brands and Customer Experience ensures our service remains outstanding by regularly taking flights. So, I’m sorry to hear our crew weren’t as helpful as we expect them to be.

In your email you've also mentioned that you weren't served with the meal of your choice on your return flight from Hyderabad. As we’re still in the early stages of pre-order catering, we’ve selected a small number of routes based on their distance and flight times. This is so we can monitor our progress and make sure our caterers can deliver the proposition. We have plans to roll it out to many more routes in the future, so hopefully we’ll be able to offer pre-order catering to you soon.

We're very grateful you've taken the time to let us know what happened when you travelled with us. It’s only through your feedback we’re able to focus on areas where we need to improve, so we can offer you the best possible service. Sometimes it can take time for us to fix the problems we’re having, but we’ll always work hard to make sure they get resolved. Our Executive Chairman, Keith Williams, makes sure we improve continuously across all areas of our business, and I know you’ll see positive changes very soon.
