Surya Namaskaram - Salutation to the Sun (One and only true manifestation of God)

ॐ नमः शिवाय!

3:30 am in the morning till the first rays of Sun are not yet visible, otherwise called Brahma Mahurtam, get up wash your self, you can brush your teeth but see you don't swallow any water, don't drink or eat anything and only in your loin cloths and a copper kalasham with clean fresh water, face towards east from where the Sun rises in that season and  do the following steps slowly with devotion and faith.

Surya Namaskaram is performed by hundreds of young and old men in Kanya kumari (Kerala India) standing in chest deep ocean water in any season where three oceans meet, it is a treat to watch and it is one of the oldest way of appeasing the one and only true manifestation of God.

Let the water flow slowly out of the kalasham like you are offering it to the Sun,

1) Inhale

2) Kumbhaka (Full stomach with air)
3) Exhale
4) Rechaka (Empty Stomach no inhaling or exhaling, each step is at least for few seconds, and always Inhaling should be the longer, and Kumbhakam and Rechaka should be equal.)

Gayatri Mantra is also a great Mantra to be included while doing Surya Namaskaram.

(Note: I did not give transliteration of Sanskrit Mantras because it is better to learn it the way it should be chanted, like there are no English equivalents of the words Aum, Karma and Punya, even there are no equivalents to these Mantras in any other language so learn Sanskrit and chant the Mantras as they should be.

I have to post the Asanas to get a clear idea of each and every Asana.

The Sun is responsible for all the life on Earth and it controls your Prana (life force that regulates your Heart, Lungs and Liver functions)

For a physicist it is just a ball of nuclear fusion, or even part of the field, but they have yet to discover all the visible and invisible rays that emanate from the Sun.

For a Chemist it is a ball of chemical reaction which is in a loop, Hydrogen to Helium,
For a Biologist - we have yet to reach there or all animals wake up when the Sun rises. :-)
For an Astronomer it is a Star.
For an Astrologer it is a Planet a Luminary, which denotes power, authority, government,

For a Spiritualist- It is the one and only true manifestation of God and responsible for everything on this Earth even it regulates how Earth should move forward in its path.

For a priest (Hindu) It is the Sun God who rises in three worlds and he is a male god, son of Aditi, and Saturn is his son.

ॐ नमः शिवाय!
