Subhasitani -- Good Speech

वज्रादपि कठोराणि

मृदूनि कुसुमादपि
लोकोक्तराणां चेतांसि
को ही विज्ञातुमर्हति
Vajradapi kthorani
mRidani kusumadapi
lokoktaraNaam chetansi
ko hi vijnaatumarhati

Meaning : The minds of the great ones cannot be easily judged because it is harder than diamond and softer than flowers.

यथाचित्तं तथा वाचः 
यथा वाचस्तथाक्रियाः
चित्तेवाचक्रियायां च
महतामेकरुपता

Yathachitam tatha vachaha
yatha vaachastathaakriyaha
chitevaachakriyaayaam ch
mahataamekarupataa

Meaning: As is the mind so is the speech , the deeds are accordings to the speech , The mind, speech and actions of the noble are one and the same.

प्रारभ्यते न खलु विघ्न भयेन नीचैः
आरभ्यविघ्न विहताः विरमन्ति मद्याः
विघ्नै पुनः पुनरपि प्रतिहन्यमानाः
प्रारभ्यामुत्तमजनाः न परित्यजन्ति

praarbhyate na khalu vighna bhayena niicheeha
aarabhyavighna vihataaha virmanti madyaha
vighnai puna punarpi pratihanyamaanaa
praarabhyamuktamajanaa na parityajanti

Meaning : The people of lower category will not start the work at all because of obstacles, where as the middle category people will start the work and leave when the obstacles come, but the people of upper category will never leave the work in between what so ever the obstacles that will come in the way and they will finish the work at any cost.

नाभिषेको न संस्कारः
सिंहस्य क्रियते वने
विक्रमार्जित सत्वस्य
स्वयमेव मृगेंद्रता

naabhisheko na sanskara 
singhasya kriyate vane
vikramarjita satvasaya
svameva mRigendrataa

Meaning : Nobody has crowned the lion in the forest formally as a king, the lion has acquired this position by virtue of its power.

आलस्यं ही मनुष्याणां
शरीरस्थो महान् रिपूः
नास्तुध्यम समो बंधुः
कुर्वाणो नावसीदती

aalasyan hi manusyanam
sarirasto mahaan ripu
nastudhyam samo bandhu
kurvaNao naavasiidati

Meaning: Laziness is the greatest enemy of man and there is nothing equivalent to perseverence (work) , the persevering man is never ruined.

It does not mean that all these sayings are my reflections, yes, I do try to remember them when I act.
