Vishaka Nakshatram

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !
ॐ नमः शिवाय!

Vishaka Nakshatram: Bishaja, Bishakya, Radha, Radhika, Raaraa, Vaishaka, Visaka, Visakam,

Constellation: Librae, Group of stars,

Symbol: Triumphal arch, fork,

Rig Vedic Name: Indra, Chief of Gods, Agni, God of fire,

Lord of Vishaka: Jupiter,

Zodiac Sign: Tula/Vrishchika/Scorpio,

Gana: Rakshasa (Demon)

Strength: Great Orator, Popular politician,

Moon in Vishaka Nakshatram, (Constellation) gives the basic mentality of the person, the first reaction to any situation, it might not translate into action and it might subside with experience and age but this is your first reaction to any situation you are in, :-) and it becomes more prominent If Moon is in Lagna (Ascendant), or Cancer Ascendant (Lagna), because Moon is the lord of this house, and Taurus Ascendant (Lagna) where Moon gets its exaltation, or If Moon is Atmakaraka, otherwise for all other houses this mentality becomes equal or secondary to the mentality emanating from the Lagna and the Nakshatram rising.

And Vishaka males and females are automatically attracted to each other, some times your hear someone sing and If that singer happens to be your Nakshtram the liking is natural and automatic, same thing for looks, voice, walking style, expressions etc. and the same pattern applies to the matching Nakshatra, like Chitra is matching Nakshatra for Vishaka and vice versa and other Nakshatra with same Jupiter lordship like Poorva Bhadrapada and Punarvasu.

For Vishaka natives:

People with Pushyami, Anuradha and Uttara Bhadrapada (Shani Lordship) might bring wealth.
People with Ashwini, Magha and Mula (Ketu Lordship) might bring blessings for well being,
People with Krittika, Uttara Phalguni and Uttara Ashadha (Surya Lordship) might help them to achieve their goals.
People with Mrigasira, Chitra and Dhanista (Mars Lordship) might be friendly.
People with  Arudra, Swati and Satabisha (Rahu Lordship) might become fast friends.

People with Aslesha, Jyestha and Revati (Mercury Lordship ) might be dangerous.
People with Bharani, Purva Phalguni and Purva Ashadha (Venus Lordship)might create obstacles.
People with Rohini, Hasta and Shravana (Moon Lordship) might cause death.

The reason why I took Shil Ponde is because his Jyotish Shastra was written way back in 1939 when the world was in turmoil, and Intelligence agencies were not digital savvy to manipulate the write ups, this is the reason why I keep checking my write ups for manipulations and I always find lot of changes, so I correct them back.

Females:  Vishaka Nakshatram:  Shil Ponde, Hindu Astrology, Jyotisha Shastra,

Delicate features and a soft pleasing voice, but do not let these deceive you , underneath she has a strong character, even hard at times , she will always follow her own inclinations and is not amenable to advice from others.

She will be distinctly appealing to the opposite sex and will make a very fortunate marriage, her husband will be well to do if not wealthy  and she will have few if any children, not more than two.

She will be fond of travel and change and will travel much with her husband and her favorite color is red  or crimson, she has beautifully shaped legs.

Males: Vishaka Nakshatram:

Shil Ponde, Hindu Astrology, Jyotish Shastra,

Aggressive and impatience, these people are overbearing in their desire to get things done and they are very active but not popular, since their manner causes people to actively dislike them and resent their extreme aggressiveness, they are very proud and because of this , they take offense easily at some fancied slight, their anger makes enemies of people who might cooperate with them, if treated differently they will overcome their enemies through sheer force of character, but such people will still remain enemies, tact and kindness are qualities which they should try to develop.

e.g. Male celebrities with Vishaka as their birth star.

Vishaka Pada 1,

Akshay Kumar, 1967-, Actor, Married once and had two children,

Prince Andrew, 1960-, Prince, Married once and had two children,

Vincent Auriol, 1984-1966, President of French republic 1947-1954.

Note: Please note that you might come across lots of celebrities and popular people placed all over the constellations, some put them with constellation where Sun is present, some with constellation where Lagna is, and some with Mars also, but the correct one is Moon in its constellation because Moon controls mind and it is considered the birth star, so the Nakshatra with Moon is what I am following, and please don't just read view of one Astrologer and feel very bad, :-) Nakshatra is one level of your character, there is lot more I would say 90% more to your character then just Nakshatra, but Nakshatra and Moon are very important as far as your relations are concerned, hence I have mentioned  number of Marriages and number of children.
And as all Astrologers pre modern and modern were/are men, so it is also obvious that they would be little to some extent biased towards women, :-) If women feel they are not getting proper presentation of their character, then write your own Astrology and see that women gets proper representation. :-) and I am also a Man, though I try to be with out bias but you know. :-))

Mula Nakshatram

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !

ॐ नमः शिवाय!

Mula (Root) : The center of our galaxy, Milky way  lies in the Nakshatra, hence the name Mula.

Constellation: Scorpius, Scorpionis, group of stars,

Symbol: Bunch of roots tied together,

Rig Vedic Name: Pitrs, (Fathers)

Lord of Mula: Ketu

Zodiac Sign: Dhanus / Sagittarius.

Gana: Rakshasa (Demon)  Ketu is a headless demon who tasted Amrut (Nectar), Ambrosia (Greek).

Long time back when I was a kid, once my mother told me about Mula Nakshatram and how women born under this constellation can cause trouble to their husband and his family, only after 3 decades I am actually coming across few cases with Mula Nakshatram, hype is also there, and no one would like to have a girl with Mula Nakshatram as bride and cause damage to the old guy in the family, it is like why take the risk, few Astrologers are frank about it and few are trying to dip it in chocolate and feed it, If there is a problem there is a problem, why hide it from people, with right knowledge right solution is possible, the very purpose of living on this earth is to find solution for our frequent births and deaths or stay stuck in this vicious cycle of births and deaths.

The way it is taken very denigratingly when someone does not pass a 10th grade examination or keeps repeating his or her 10th grade, the frequent births and deaths on this Earth should also be taken in similar fashion, Oh! so you could not break the cycle of births and death and there you are back in this filthy, full of shit and mucus filled body of male or female. :-)

Females: Mula Nakshatram:

1) Their Moon in Mula Nakshatram, tend to cause some kind of mental illness, (Need data for confirmation) this could be hype, because destructive thoughts are not mental ailments it is the tamasic  food, brought up, parents, atmosphere, culture, exposure, friends etc.

2) High Libido is another issue. (Mars in Mula,)

3) Then there is this issue of Father of Husband, If Pada is 1, Mother of Husband, If Pada is 2, Elder brother of Husband, If Pada is 3 and Younger brother of the Husband, If Pada is 4, might be destroyed. (This needs to be confirmed with data)

B V Raman:  Only first quarter of Mula Nakshtaram is destructive, 2, 3, 4th quarters are ok.
Narad Muni Purana is very tough on Mula born, he suggests to abandon the child.
Mantreswara's Phaladeepika (Annotation by Dr G S Kapoor) it says Father, Mother, Self or family lineage, and wealth and prosperous for Pada, 1, Pada 2, Pada 3 and Pada 4, respectively.
Mantreshwara Phaladeepika (Annotations by Dr G S Kapoor) If Lagna (Ascendant) is not connected with any benefic planet, then the given results will follow.
Jataka Parijata,
Brihat Jataka of Varahamihira,

Reason:

1) Ketu Lordship, and If Ketu in Mula the destructive thinking is much stronger.
2) Nirriti, the goddess of Southwest direction, and Goddess of poverty or Alakshmi the governing deity is with Kali, the goddess of destruction.

Solution: Which are already being followed. (I don't say they are perfect but they are precautionary)

1) Female with Mula Nakshatram, Pada 1, Look for a match whose father has already passed away.
2) Female with Mula Nakshatram, Pada 2, Look for a match whose mother has already passed away.
3) Female with Mula Nakshatram, Pada 3, Look for a match who does not have an elder brother.
4) Female with Mula Nakshatram, Pada 4, Look for a match who does not have a younger brother.

It is believed that the ill effects will not come to pass If the bridegroom has no elder brother, but then his first child will be in trouble. (Again data is needed to confirm this)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Moon in Mula Nakshatram, (Constellation) gives the basic mentality of the person, the first reaction to any situation, it might not translate into action and it might subside with experience and age but this is your first reaction to any situation you are in, :-) and it becomes more prominent If Moon is in Lagna (Ascendant), or Cancer Ascendant (Lagna), because Moon is the lord of this house, and Taurus Ascendant (Lagna) where Moon gets its exaltation, or If Moon is Atmakaraka, and If lagna (Ascendant) is Scorpio, where the lord is Mars and Ketu, and Moon gets debilitated here, the thoughts can be very negative and destructive, otherwise for all other houses this mentality becomes equal or secondary to the mentality emanating from the Lagna and the Nakshatram rising.

And Mula males and females are automatically attracted to each other, some times your hear someone sing and If that singer happens to be your Nakshtram the liking is natural and automatic, same thing for looks, voice, walking style, expressions etc. and the same pattern applies to the matching Nakshatra, like Arudra is matching Nakshatra for Mula and vice versa and other Nakshatra with same Ketu lordship like Ashwini and Magha.

For Mula natives:

People with Bharani, Purva Phalguni and Purva Ashadha (Venus Lordship) might bring wealth.
People with Rohini, Hasta and Shravana (Moon Lordship)might bring blessings of well being,
People with Arudra, Swati and Satabisha (Rahu Lordship) might help them to achieve their goals.
People with Pushyami, Anuradha and Uttara Bhadrapada (Shani Lordship)might be friendly.
People with Aslesha, Jyestha and Revati (Mercury Lordship) might become fast friends.

People with Krittika, Uttara Phalguni and Uttara Ashadha (Surya Lordship) might be dangerous.
People with Mrigasira, Chitra and Dhanista (Mars Lordship) might create obstacles.
People with Punarvasu, Vishaka, and Poorva Bhadrapada (Jupiter Lordship) might cause death.

The reason why I took Shil Ponde is because his Jyotish Shastra was written way back in 1939 when the world was in turmoil, and Intelligence agencies and other hackers were not digital savvy to manipulate the write ups, this is the reason why I keep checking my write ups for manipulations and I always find lot of changes particularly  spelling mistakes, :-) so I correct them back.

Asta Kootas for Match making

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !
ॐ नमः शिवाय!

Astha Kootas (Kuta) for match making,

Before checking Asta kootas and other kootas for match making I would suggest check the Astro charts, for Marriage suitability,

1) Lagna and all angles, Suitability, eligibility, dosha, and 8th house for longevity of native.
2) From Moon and all angles, because Moon's placement in constellations is important.
3) From Upa Pada Lagna, for health of Marriage,
4) 4th House for Happiness from Marriage and relations
5) 12th House for Bed pleasures.

Check in Rasi and Navamsa charts, for each negative give -1 and for each positive give +1, and see what is the end result.

Once this is ok, then move to Asta Kootas and their suitability, a score of 18 and above is ok for an average marriage, please don't look for 36 out of 36, it is only possible in movies and mythological stories. :-)

There are main eight kootas,

1) Varna Koota  for maximum score of 1
2) Vashya Koota for maximum score of 2
3) Dina Koota  for maximum score of 3
4) Yoni Koota for maximum score of 4
5) Grah Maitri for maximum score of 5
6) Gana Koota for maximum score of 6
7) Rasi Koota (Bhakut) for maximum score of 7
8) Nadi Koota, for maximum score of 8,

Total; 36

Minor Kootas,

1) Mahendra Koota,
2) Stri Deergha
3) Rajju
4) Vedha

Koota type      Points       Compatibility                       Detail

Varna Koota     1           Compatibility of  Mentality,  Varna actually means caste of the person
Egos.                                      strictly restricted to Astrology for Social
                                                                                      Matching

The Varna of the groom should be equal or higher than the Varna of the bride, favorable combinations get 1 point, else 0.

Bride ↓                   Groom
                     Brahmin              Kshattriya         Vaishya            Shudra
Brahmin                             1                      0               0                 0
Kshattriya                             1                      1               0                 0
Vaishya                             1                      1               1                 0
Shudra                             1                      1               1                 1
This Varna Koota can be ignored while match making.

B V Raman: This seems to signify the degree of spiritual or ego development of the marrying partners.
Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer represent the highest development - Brahmin;
Leo, Sagittarius and Libra indicate the second grade - or Kshatriya;
Aries, Gemini and Aquarius suggest the third or the Vaisya;
while Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn indicate the last grade, viz., Sudra.

A girl belonging to a higher grade of spiritual development should not be mated to a boy of lesser development. The vice verse or both belonging to the same grade or degree is allowed.

The unit of agreement is 1.

Vashya Koota   2           Compatibilty of ability to      Indicates control and amenability and
                                       dominate.                               dominance.

Vashya Koota is based upon the comparison of 2 types of animals or human beings assigned to the sign of the Moon.

VashyaMoon Signs
Quadruped (Four legged Animals)             Aries, Taurus, 1st half of Capricorn
Human      (Humans are independant)            Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Aquarius
Jalachara (Water based animals are independant)             Cancer, Pisces, 2nd half of Capricorn
Leo           (Lion)            Leo
Scorpio    (Insects)           Scorpio

The matching points are between 0 and 2.

Bride ↓               Groom
                   QuadrupedHuman   Jalachara    Leo     Scorpio
Quadruped                           2                      0        0     0.5           0
Human                           1     2        1     0.5           1
Jalachara                         0.5     1        2       1           1
Leo                           0     0        0       2           0
Scorpio                           1     1        1       0           2

B V Raman:  This is important as suggesting the degree of magnetic control or amenability the wife or husband would be able to exercise on the other. For Aries - Leo and Scorpio are amenable. For Taurus - Cancer and Libra; for Gemini - Virgo; for Cancer - Scorpio and Sagittarius; for Leo - Libra; for Virgo - Pisces and Gemini; for Libra - Capricorn and Virgo; for Scorpio - Cancer; for Sagittarius - Pisces; for Capricorn - Aries and Aquarius; for Aquarius - Aries; arid for Pisces - Capricorn. The unit of agreement is 2.

Example: - ln our illustration, neither the boy's nor the girl's horoscope is subject to the control of the other.

Dina Koota       3            Compatibility of  Nakshatra  Health, Family Happiness this can be derived
from the chart given above page 2.

Count the constellation of the boy from that of the girl and divide the number by 9. If the remainder is 2, 4, 6, 8 or 0 it is good. The number of units of compatibility assigned to this Kuta is 3 in case agreement is found.

Example: - The constellation of the boy (viz., Mrigasira in Taurus) counted from that of the girl (Dhanishta in Makara) gives 10. This divided by 9 leaves a remainder of 1 and hence there is no agreement, and no units of strength are scored on this account.

Nakshatra on 3, 5, and 7 Category is considered Malefic, i.e. Vipat, Pratyak and Naidhana or Vedha, and the values can be 0, 1.5 and 3, count the Nakshatra from the Groom's Birth Nakshatra to the Brides Nakshatra and divide it be 9, if the reminder is 3,5 or 7 then award 0, and repeat the same in reverse order.

Yoni Koota       4            Compatibility of Yoni             Physical and sexual compatibility can be
derived from the  chart given in http://ianala.blogspot.ca/search/label/Astrology-Nakshatram

Graha Koota     5            Compatibility of Planets         Progeny prospects, mutual affection, daily
                                                                                       behavior towards one another.

Planet Relationship                           Points
Mutual Friendship                              5
Friend and Neutral                              4
Both Neutral                              3
Friend and Enemy                              2
Neutral and Enemy                              1
Mutual Enemies                              0

B V Raman:

Rasyadhipathi or Graha Maitram. - This is the most important Kuta inasmuch as it deals with the psychological dispositions of the Couple. The mental qualities of the parties and their affection for each other are admittedly of vital importance to their happiness. This must be tested before marriage. In Considering Graha Maitram the friendship or otherwise between the lords of the Janma Rasis of the persons concerned is very important. Planetary friendships are given in almost all astrological works. But still I give below a table indicating the relations between the different planets so that the reader may not have to refer to other books.

          Planetary Friendships
          Friend Neutral Enemy

The Sun Moon, Mars, Jupiter Mercury Saturn, Venus

The Moon Sun, Mercury Mars, Jupiter
                               Venus, Saturn

Mars Sun, Moon, Jupiter Venus, Saturn Mercury

Mercury Sun, Venus Mars, Jupiter, Moon
                               Saturn

Jupiter Sun, Moon, Mars Saturn Mercury, Venus

Venus Mercury, Saturn Mars, Jupiter Sun, Moon

Saturn Mercury, Venus Jupiter Sun, Moon, Mars

Some suggest that in considering the planetary relations, the temporary dispositions should also be taken into account. This in my humble opinion is not necessary, because, the entire subject of adaptability hinges on the birth constellations and not on birth charts as a whole.

When the lords of the Janma Rasis of the bride and bridegroom are friends, the Rasi Kuta is said to obtain in full. When one is a friend and the other is a neutral, it is passable. When both are neutral. Rasi Kuta is very ordinary. When both are enemies, Rasi Kuta does not exist.

Exception: - Even when there is no friendship between the Janma Rasi lords of the bridegroom and bride, Rasi Kuta may be said to exist if friendship prevails between the planets owning the Navamsas occupied by the Moon.

The number of units for this Kuta is 5.

Example: - ln our illustration, the Janma Rasi lords are Venus and Saturn. Both are friends. Therefore Rasi Kuta is complete. Supposing the bride and bridegroom are born in Makha 2 (Leo) and Satabhisha 2 (Saturn).

The lords will be the Sun and Saturn respectively and they are not friends. In such a case if the Navamsa relationship is Considered, then the Moon will be in Taurus (Venus) and Capricorn (Saturn) respectively. Venus and Saturn, are friends and therefore the match is permissible. One will have to be very careful in the assessment of these factors and on superficial grounds no horoscope should be rejected as unsuitable or unfortunate.

B.V Raman: The number of benefic units for agreement is 6.

Example: - Mrigasira comes under Deva Gana while Dhanishta comes under Rakshasa. Hence, Gana Kuta is absent.

If the asterism of the bride is beyond the 14th from that of the bridegroom the evil may be ignored.

Rasi Koota       7             Compatibility of Bhakut        Family growth, Family welfare and economic
                                                                                       property after marriage

Rasi Koota is the relationship of the Rasis occupied by the Moon in the charts of the groom and bride if the relationship is 5/9, 6/8 or 2/12 they get no points else they get 7 points.

Benefic                             7                                   1st, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 10th, 11th
Malefic                             0                                   2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 12th

B V Raman: lf the Rasi of the boy happens to be the 2nd from that of the girl and if the Rasi of the girl happens to be the 12th from that of the boy, evil results will follow.

But if, on the other hand, the Rasi of the boy falls in the 12th from the girl's or the Rasi of the girl is in the 2nd from that of the boy astrology predicts longevity for the couple.

If the Rasi of the boy is the 3rd from that of the girl. there will be misery and sorrow. But if the Rasi of the girl is the 3rd from that of the boy, there will be happiness.

If the boy's falls in the 4th from that of the girl's, then there will be great poverty; but if the. Rasi of the girl happens to fall in the 4th from the boy's there will be great wealth.

If the boy's Rasi falls in the 5th from that of the girl, there will be unhappiness. But if the girl's Rasi falls in the 5th from that of the boy, there will be enjoyment and prosperity.

But where the Rasis of the boy and the girl are in the 7th houses mutually, then there will be health, agreement and happiness.

If the boy's Rasi falls in the 6th from the girl's there will be loss of children, but if the girl's is the 6th from the boy's, then the progeny will prosper.

The number of units for Rasi Kuta is 7.

Exception: - When both the Rasis are owned by one planet or if the lords of the two Rasis happen to be friends, the evil attributed above to the inauspicious disposition of Rasis gets cancelled.

Nadi Koota      8             Compatibility of Nadi types,  Physiological matching and for health of the
children, There are three types of people based
on Nadi dosha, Adi (Ayurveda name is Vata)
which is wind type, Madhya ( Ayurveda name

Kapha) Phlegm type, it has maximum value of 8, and most important out of all the 8 Kootas, Nadi type is derived from Nakshtra and Moon as the reference point from the time of birth, following is the list of Nakshtra and Nadi type they belong.

NadiNakshatras

B V Raman: This is considered to be the most important and at the same time the most significant Kuta.

In Sanskrit, Nadi means several things but in reference to astrology, it signifies pulse or nervous energy indicating the physiological and to a certain extent hereditary factors.

The Hindu medical works enumerate three Nadis or humours, viz., Vatha (wind), Pitha (bile) and Sleshma (phlegm). A boy with a predominantly windy or phlegmatic or bilious constitution should not marry a girl of the same type. The girl should belong to a different temperament.

The three Nadis are ruled by the different constellations as follows: -

Vata Pitha Sleshma
Aswini Bharani Krittika
Aridra Mrigasira Rohini
Punarvasu Pushyami Aslesha
Uttara Pubba Makha
Hasta Chitta Swati
Jyeshta Anuradha Visakha
Moola Poorvashadha Uttarasnadha
Satabhisha Dhanishta Sravana
Poorvabhadra Uttarabhadra Revati

If the constellation of the boy and girl fall in different rows, then agreement between the couple will be good. They should not fall in the middle. Stars of the couple may fall in the first and the last line under certain circumstances.

If Nadi Kuta is not present on the basis of the Nakshatras, then the same may be reckoned taking into account the Nakshatra Padas. Thus, the different quarters will be governed by the three humours (Nadis) thus:

  Aswini 1 Aswini 2 Aswini 3
  Bharani 2 Bharani 1 Aswini 4
  Bharani 3 Bharani 4 Krittika 1
  Krittika 4 Krittika 3 Krittika 2
  Rohini 1 Rohini 2 Rohini 3

Beginning from Aswini 1, the counting should be done forwards and backwards in threes as given above.

The unit ascribed for this Kuta is 8.

In the example considered above, both the constellations fall in the middle line and hence Nadi Kuta is completely absent.

Appendix 1 gives a table for measuring the agreement units. In the first column (longitudinal) the constellations of the bride are given.

In the first horizontal column, the boy's nakshatra is given. Take the figure in the column where the girl's and the boy's stars interesect. Suppose the boy's star is Mrigasira 1, the Rasi being Taurus.

The girl's star is Satabhisha 2, Rasi being Kumbha. Running down our eye from Taurus, Mrigasira 2 (horizontal first column) to the horizontal line of Satabhisha 4, Kumbha. we find the figure 26.5 as the total units of agreement.

Total of 36 points are possible if all 8 Kootas match perfectly, so a good marraige is considered if they get more then 28 points, and above 18 is allowed as an average match, but less then 18 is not allowed particularly if Nadi does not match.

Marriage Match Making II follows Minor Kutas and Mahuratha.

Navamsa Chart- D9 chart

ॐ श्री गुरावे नमः !
ॐ नमः शिवाय!

Navamsa chart (D9): Out of all the divisional charts Navamsa chart is considered very important after the base chart or Rasi chart.

Navamsa means 9th part, which means each house of Rasi chart is divided in to 9 equal parts, 306 degrees divided by 12 gets to 12 zodiac signs of 30 degrees and each house when divided by 9 times gets to 3.33 degrees of each amsa, and then 9 such amsas of each house are spread across 12 houses, and for each lagna there is a different starting point, basically it means that we are zooming into each house and spreading it to see things in detail and when each house is disected into such fractions (amsa) when they are all placed over each other, like Rasi, followed by D2, D3, up to D60 and then see how many points are matching in each divisional chart, e.g. Ascendant in Rasi is Gemini and Ascendant in D2 is also Gemini, and D3 also, then it strengthens the Ascendant three folds, which is also called Vargottam meaning Fraction of high quality, similarly see where the Jupiter is in Rasi, and other charts if it matches its position particularly in Rasi and Navamsa, Jupiters strength increases by two folds being Vargottam.

Total there will be 108 amsas which are divided in to four groups,

1) Aries, Leo and Saggitarius for which amsas are spread from Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Saggitarius.
2) Taurus Virgo and Capricorn for which amsas are spread from Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo and Virgo.
3) Gemini, Libra and Aquarius for which the amsas are spread from Libra, Scorpio, Saggitarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, and Gemini.
4) Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, for which the amsas are spread from Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Saggitarius, Capricorn,  Aquarius and Pisces.

For Gemini Lagna, Start the first amsa with Libra, Scorpio, Saggitarius, Capricorn, Aqaurius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, and Gemini, then start over with second house and so on and so forth.

Navamsa Chart is also read in similar manner like Rasi chart, so it has Ascendant, and remaining 11 houses similar to Rasi chart.

9th part is dharma amsa, so it relates to your dharma and also to your spouse which is your prathama dharma, followed by children, job, earnings, wealth, duties, social obligation, family obligation, etc. and it represents oversll fortune of the native.

Learning astrology start with south Indian chart which is very simple compared to North Indian and Western astrology (Iraq Astrology), the south indian chart is a square with four equal squares in each direction, the zodiac signs are fixed, the number of house changes with Ascendant, If Ascendant is Gemini then Gemini becomes the first house (Tanu bhava) and same for Navamsa and other divisional charts also.

There is RASI and Navamsa charts of Late Shri M K Gandhi (Father of Indian Nation) at http://ianala.blogspot.ca/search/label/Astrology

Ascendant rising (Lagna) or planet in 1st Navamsa in a chara rasi (movable sign), 5th Navamsa in a Sthira rasi (fixed sign), and 9th Navamsa in a Dwiswbhava rasi (dual sign) will be Vargottam hence gains in strength.

Lagna rasi or lagna lord should not form or occupy 6th, 8th or 12th house in Navamsa chart, and lord of 6th, 8th or 12th house should have any association with the Lagna rasi or Lagna lord.

Lords of 1st, 4th and 7th Navamsa are deva guna or Godly beings,
Lords of 2nd, 5th and 8th Navamsa are Nara or Humans,
Lords of 3rd, 6th and 9th Navamsa are Rakshasa or Demons, these terms should be understood strictly in terms of materialism and accumulation of wealth, deva or godly beings will earn and keep what they need there is lot of charity and humans might go both ways and there might be some charity, but Demons will just accumulate and accumulate for self and no or very little charity.

Vargottam planets are superior and fortunate,

Rahu and Ketu do not rule any Navamsa division.

Planet in its own Navamsa is superior then in its exalted Navamsa,

Planet in its Exaltation sign in Rasi chart but in its Debilitation sign in Navamsa produces bad results early.

Planet in its Debilitation sign in Rasi chart but in its Exaltation sign in Navamsa produces auspicious results.

Planets occupying Navamsas ruled by Jupiter act like natural benefics,

Saturn in its own house (Aquarius or Capricorn) or exaltation sign (Libra) does not afflict natural benefics provided it does not occupy its debilitation sign (Aries) in Navamsa chart.

A planet whichis very strong in Rasi chart does not produce desirable good results during its maha Dasha or Antara dasha with respect to that bhava or its lord, if it is placed in 6th,8th or 12th house from the bhava or its lord in question in Navamsa chart.

A planet as a lord of the 2nd house is in conjunction with lord of the 10th house in 10th house and the lord of the lagna is involved in raja yoga that native can secure a very high political or administrative position in the maha dsha or antara dasha of the lord of the 2nd house but If lord of the 2nd is in 6th,8th or 12th house from lordo f the 10th in Navamsa chart the resutls will be contrary.

BPHS: Navāńś. The Navāńś calculation are for a Movable Rāśi from there itself, for a Fixed Rāśi from the 9th there of and for a Dual Rāśi from the 5th there of. They go by designations Deva (divine), Manushya (human) and Rakshasa (devilish) in a successive and repetitive order for a Movable Rāśi. (Manushya, Rakshasa and Deva are the order for a Fixed Rāśi, while Rakshasa, Manushya and Deva are a Dual Rāśi’s order)
