Four Grah/Planets in one house at the time of birth

I have already presented the effects from conjunction of three grahs in one house in my previous post, and here are the combinations of four grahs conjoined in one house at the time of birth.

If present in any house, each house will have a different result, the results will also differ based on which Nakshatram they are present in, how close Mercury and Venus are to the Sun, and many other factors, and then that  1st house can be Aries, or Virgo or Pisces, the results of such combinations in each house will be different, as the Sun is exalted in Aries and debilitated in Libra, Venus is exalted in Pisces and debilitated in Virgo, Mercury is exalted in Virgo and debilitated in Pisces, so please don't read a combination and feel bad or good, these are very general rules which change depending on position, status, Avastha, Astakavarga points, strength, power, any combination needs to be seen from Lagna (Ascendant), the Moon or the Sun and not as an independent entity.

Four Grah/Planets in Conjunction in one house.

1. SUN-MOON-MARS-MERCURY YOGA. Should these four planets be together at birth. the native will be a writer, a thief and be scurrilous in speech. He will be sickly, cunning and be capable of deceiving others. 

Varaha Mihira - The native will be deceitful, skilled in the art of writing and will suffer from diseases.

2. SUN-MOON-MARS-JUPITER YOGA. one, who has these four planets in one House at birth, will be wealthy, dear to women, splendorous, will maintain decorum, be free from grief and expert in work. 

Varaha Mihira - Will be rich famous , intelligent and liked by the king and will be free from diseases and from grief.

3. SUN-MOON-MARS-VENUS YOGA. If these four planets join at birth, one will speak and conduct himself, as a great person, be happy, expert, intent on gathering money and will have learning, sons and wife. 

Varaha Mihira - Will have a wife and children, will be learned, a moderate eater, happy, skilled in work and merciful.

4. SUN-MOON-MARS-SATURN YOGA. One, who has these four planets together at birth, will have uneven physique, be short in stature, be poor and will collect food by begging and be a proven dunce. 

Varaha Mihira - Will suffer from diseases of the eye, will be fond of travels and of prostitutes and will be poor.

5. SUN-MOON-MERCURY-JUPITER YOGA. If these four planets are in one House, the native will be a goldsmith (or a gold dealer etc.), be long eyed, be a sculptor, be very wealthy, bold and beautiful bodied. 

Varaha Mihira - Willhave eight sons, will be rich and possessed of good qualities, will be famous, powerful and liberal in gifts.

7. SUN-MOON-MERCURY-SATURN YOGA. If these four planets are together at birth, the native will lose his parents in childhood, be devoid of money and happiness, be wandering, will earn food by begging and will be a liar. 

Varaha Mihira - Will be poor and ungrateful.

8. SUN-MOON-JUPITER-VENUS YOGA. Should these planets be in one House at birth, the subject concerned will be head of water, animals and forests (i.e. his livelihood may be through such sources), will be happy, honoured by the king and be an expert. 

Varaha Mihira - Will be possessed of many good qualities , will commit adultery with other women, will be intelligent and will suffer from diseases of the eye.

9. SUN-MOON-JUPITER-SATURN YOGA. If the said planets join at birth, the native will be dark-eyed, fierce, will have many sons, be wealthy and fortunate through women.

Varaha Mihira - Will be fond of travels , will be rich , intelligent and attached to prostitutes.

16. SUN-MARS-VENUS-SATURN YOGA. One, who has these four planets together at birth, will be deformed, mean in conduct, oblique-sighted, will hate his relatives and will always be insulted.

33. MARS-MERCURY-VENUS-SATURN YOGA. If these four planets are together at birth, the native will be an expert boxer, will depend on others, will have coarse body, will possess pride of war, be famous and will breed dogs.

Varaha Mihira - Will be of defective limbs, will serve under other men , will tell lies and will have bad sons.

34. MARS-JUPITER-VENUS-SATURN YOGA. If these four planets are together at birth, the native will be splendourous, wealthy, addicted to other women, fond of bravery, fickle-minded and ill-disposed. 

Will be liked by the king, will be of thin body, will have bad sons and will be of clear understanding.

35. MERCURY-JUPITER-VENUS-SATURN YOGA. Should these be together at birth, the native will be intelligent, interested in Shastras, be a debaucher and an obedient servant.

Varaha Mihira - Native will be rich,learned and of good conduct.

e.g.

In 1st House - Beyoncé Knowles Carter, Lagna/Ascendant, Virgo in Rasi chart.

PARENTS. If the Moon is in the company of malefics, it is detrimental to the mother of the native. Predict similar results regarding the father of the native, if the Sun joins malefics at birth. Benefics in the place of malefics in the said Yogas will prove auspicious to the respective parent. If the planets joining be of mixed nature (i.e. one benefic and another malefic), the effects are medium. 

BENEFICS IN CONJUNCTION AND MALEFICS IN CONJUNCTION. If benefics are in conjunction at birth, the native will enjoy wealth, sovereignty and fame. Such a combination produces an emperor capable of ruling the earth. Should three malefics join at birth, the native will be unlucky, indigent, grief-stricken, ugly and immodest.

Argala (Influence) and Virodhargala (Obstruction to such influence)

Argala and Virodhargala: Two very important aspects of Vedic Astrology, one should understand about them once your basic understanding of Rasi Chart is in place.

Argala basically means influence or intervention of planets or houses in the internal affairs of other houses or planets which can be either positive (Auspicious) or negative (Inauspicious) and Virodh (Opposition) argala is obstructions or oppostion to such negative or positive influence.

Planets in 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 11th houses have Argala on the planet and house in discussion and Planets in 3rd, 9th, 10th and 12th have Virodhargala on the planet and house on discussion.

Argala: It can be Subha (Auspicious) Argala If the Argala is due to benefic planets like Jupiter, Venus, Moon (Shukla Paksha) and Mercury (If posited with benefics) and it can be papa (sin or negative) Argala if the Argala is due to Malefic planets like Sun, Mars, Saturn, Moon (Krishna Paksha) or Mercury (If posited with Malefics) and the two shadow planets, Rahu and Ketu.

In case of the house with Ketu, the 2nd,4th,5th, and 11th houses are counted in reverse order or anti zodiacal.

Virodh Argala: Is very effective when a Benefic like Jupiter or Venus has Virodha Argala on the house with malefic planets.

Argala for the first house (Tanu bhava): 2nd, 4th, 5th and 11th from Tanu bhava has Argala on Tanu Bhava.


Tanu Bhava represents: Physique, appearance, intellect (or the organ of intelligence, i.e. brain), complexion of the body, vigour, weakness, happiness, grief and innate nature, strength, energy, fame, success, nature of birth.

Tanu bhava should be with benefics or better be empty with just ascendant, and no malefic planet should have any Dhristi (Aspect) on it or its planets, such a Tanu bhava gives the native a good character and personality, e.g. I have Jupiter and Moon in my Tanu Bhava (1st house), but I have a 4th house aspect of Mars from 10th house, which adds the General or sports man like attitude to  knowledged and clean person and it also makes me a terrible warrior, a competitive sportsman and a disciplined army man, Moon is also in shukla tithi, and Moon controls the mind, the Ascendant is in Gemini, lord of Gemini is Mercury posited in 10th house and Lord of 10th House Jupiter is posited in 1st house. (Please note when I say General, read it as mentality :-)) otherwise few over curious people might check for my registration with each and every army in this world) :-))

Cancer (2nd house), Virgo (4th house), Libra (5th house) and Aries (11th house) have Argala on 1st house Gemini.

2nd House is Dhana Bhava which represents : Sustenance, Inheritance, wealth, grains (food etc.), family, death, enemies, metals, precious stones, assets, speech, eyes, mouth, face, voice, food.

4th house is Bandhu bhava and represents: Learning, Vehicle, Conveyances, relatives, mother, happiness, treasure, lands and buildings, house, lands, immovable property, motherland, childhood, wealth from real estate, education, comforts, pleasures, peace, state of mind, heart.

5th house is Putra bhava and represents: Punya,(There is no word for "Punya", in English, it is opposite of Sin), Intelligence, Putra bhava amulets, sacred spells, learning, knowledge, sons, royalty (or authority), fall of position, children, poorvapunya (good deeds of previous lives), scholarship, devotion, mantras (prayers), stomach, digestive system, authority/power, fame, love, affection, emotions, judgment, speculation.

11th house is Labha bhava and it represents: All articles, son’s wife, income, prosperity, quadrupeds, elder co-borns, gains, realization of hopes, friends, ankles.

Virodhargala

Taurus (12th house), Pisces (10th house) Aquarius (9th house) and Leo (3rd house) have Virodha Argala on 1st House i.e Gemini. (For me)

12th is Vyaya bhava (House of Loss) and it represents: Expenses, history of enemies, one’s own death, losses, punishment, imprisonment, hospitalization, pleasures in bed, misfortune, bad habits, sleep, meditation, donation, secret enemies, heaven, left eye, feet, residence away from the place of birth, moksha (emancipation/liberation.

10th is Karma bhava and it represents: Government (authority), place, profession (livelihood), honour, living in foreign lands and debts, growth, career, karma (action), conduct and achievement in society, fame, awards, self-respect, dignity, knees.

9th is Dharma bhava and it represents: Fortunes, wife’s brother, religion, brother’s wife, visits to shrines, father, teacher, boss, fortune, religiousness, spirituality, god, higher studies & high knowledge, fortune in a foreign land, foreign trips, diksha (joining a religious order), past life and the cause of birth, grandchildren, principles, dharma, intuition, compassion, sympathy, leadership, charity, thighs.

3rd is Sahaj bhava and it represents: Valour, servants (attending etc.), brothers, sisters etc., initiatory instructions (Upadesh), journey and parent’s death, younger co-borns, confidants, courage, mental strength, communication skills, creativity, throat, ears, arms, father’s death (7th from 9th), expenditure on vehicles and house (12th from 4th), travels.

How to use Argala and Virodhargala.

First check how many planets are giving argala and virodhargala, which ever side is strong , that side will have influence on that house in discussion, if there are no planets in both sides then check the strength of the houses with respect to aspects etc, and guess the result.

In above case, Virodharagala is over powering then any negative Argala, which means anyone who stands in my way will be crushed by the planets in 12th, 10th house and 9th house. :-) nice army.

4th house is Bandhu bhava and represents: Learning, Vehicle, Conveyances, relatives, mother, happiness, treasure, lands and buildings, house, lands, immovable property, motherland, childhood, wealth from real estate, education, comforts, pleasures, peace, state of mind, heart.

4th house, one important aspect is education, and 2nd, 4th, 5th, 11th from 4th are, 5th, 7th, 8th and 2nd have argala on 4th house.

Arudhas, Arudha Pada Lagna to Upa Pada Lagna,

Arudhas: Like any other house, Arudhas also carry their own significance but from a different point of view, like AL, Aruda Pada Lagna signifies how the world perceives you as a person and your character, Arudha means Image or Illusion the world carries about you by taking an external look at you. e.g. If you wear kshaya vastra (orange clothes) the world considers you as a spiritually advanced and renounce, but in reality you might be a greedy pig. :-)

AL: Aruda Pada Lagna, Read this house as first house and it shows how the world perceives you and your character as a person, the reality of your character is given by normal Ascendant (Lagna).

Arudha Pada Calculation: Lagna lord position in Rasi chart, e.g Saggitarius Lagna, Lagna lord Jupiter in 12th from Lagna, then take 12th from Jupiter, i.e. Libra for AL, follow this rule for most houses.
