Shiva Ratri 2020

Shiva Ratri:

Shiva is the most misunderstood deity and also the most worshipped since time immemorial, most people and most religions have no idea to whom their prayers are going. :-)

It is normal for Hindu's (out of 30 Million deities)to depict any deity small or big or one from the trinity as a human with human face and divine accessories, because everything in Hinduism is considered part and parcel of the Purusha.

Most people who worship Shiva think because Shiva was cursed by Bhrigu (Son of Brahma) when Shiva was immersed in Parvati on his arrival, so the curse was that only his phalus will be worshipped, which is true, the curse worked because who ever worships (except few ) thinks Shiva Linga is a combination of Phalus and Uterus, and this understanding or should we call misunderstanding prevails from coast to coast in India and outside.

But Shiva Linga is not just a symbol of Phalus and Uterus, it is something only a yogi can see, does not matter how many words I will use to explain it people who live an ordinary life immersed in three things:

1) Kama (Desire mostly for sex)
2) Artha (Earning mostly for getting the first one)
3) Moha (Attachment )

Few evolved even with Dharma,

Can not perceive Shiva, it is ok to ask for blessings and boons, but they can not perceive Shiva, because Shiva is beyond all the three.

Brahma and Vishnu tried to find the two ends of the Shiva linga and they could not.

Shiva can be seen in Winter, when all trees dry up,  with out leaves, the dry tree is Shiva, the dryness is Parvati, and the Dry branches in the top are his son Scanda, and Ganesha is everywhere top to bottom.

It is ok for anyone to say or feel they are Shiva, even women are doing it, "I am Shiva", :-) but there are symptoms of being Shiva, or one who has reached Shivatva.

Shiva is Musculine, Physically Strong, Baritone Voice, Flat Chest, no Breasts not even Man boobs, those who reach spiritual heights through Shakta or are with the female form of divinity Durga, Mata, etc, develop breasts, numerous people can be cited even Ramanna Maha Rashi etc. even I had man boobs during 2006 to 2009 then as I moved upwards they vanished and I turned into a dry tree with 57 kgs body weight (Loosing 22 kgs in a short time), now things are different as I have crossed certain level I am back muscular, my voice is harsh and the baritone is back, I don't get tired easily.

If a women moves towards Shivatva, she will loose her feminine traits, one women from Tamilnadu reached Shivatva and she is also worshipped, her name I can not remember, one can see the symptoms clearly.

Shiva appears during the Vishuddha Chakra process, and it absorbs all the poison from the churning of the Chakras, or as it is said Devata and Demons fight and churn to get that Elixir, poison flows before the elixir flow and people go crazy If they do not get divine help to remove the poison, the reason why many men suffer after 48 and never recover, my father was one of them, the main reason is they can not give up their old habits.

Elixir is released from the five points of Shiva, West -Sadhojataya, North - Vamadevaya, South -  Aghoraya, East- Tatpurushaya, and towards top it is Ishanaya, which are the five faces of Shiva, and they mix and flow downward to not only nourish the body but also  renew the body, I can brag here, I think the body is flooded with new stream of stem cells.

As a result the person who has reached Shivatva looks younger.

This is one of the reason why PanchaAmritam (Five Elixirs) is prepared during any Hindu ritual with Milk, Curd, Clarified butter, Coconut water, Sugar, and Honey, and this what is poured on the idols of deities as one of the important rituals, mostly one after another with pure water in between each shower.

Many people (Men) reach this stage with out knowledge but they also suffer as lack of divine help throws things asunder, it is like the computer, if badly maintained, it is difficult to work with, all files are fragmented and not clean, so we have to run the disk cleanup and defragmentation, then the computer works better, divinity helps in re-organizing the entire system and helps live better, and it also helps reach that part of the brain which is otherwise not in use, most people use only their reptilian brain which is 5% of the actual brain, 95% of the Human and the Super Human brain (Devata Brain) remains unused.

Remember Mantra - Eat to live and not Live to eat.

Mantra for Shiva - Aum NamaH Shivaya!  Beginners can say NamaH! alone.

Smear or just a dot on the Shiva Linga with Sandal wood paste in rose water or water, do not use vermillion.

Please do not eat cow meat and say I am Shiva, :-)  remember Bull is the vehicle of Shiva.

Shiva resides in the cemetery covered with ashes and he burns all desires.

This place is between the two eyebrows, also called VARANASI, where all desires are burned and a person is freed from all the baggage and reaches or attains Shivatva, which is like sitting in a cemetery smeared with ashes.

To keep this place cool, Indians apply Sandal wood paste, or Turmeric colored red with vermillion, which is also called bottu or beauty spot, for married women it is mandatory because keeping this place empty is like they have given away their married life, so widows do not put that beauty spot, If one leaves this spot blank it looks like cemetry, for yogi's it is ok because that is the purpose but people living in this world they should not keep it empty.

The reson why Turmeric is used, because Hakini likes Turmeric.

Shiva Ratri:

Fasting, Staying awake, listening to Bhajans, devotional songs, Mantra Jap, Spiritual study, it is a good day or rather very auspicious day to begin spiritual journey.
